Kind Words

The Crew

Starting as a husband and wife folk duo, Calamity Jean has since teamed up with former Hot Heads to form the 6 piece band you see today. Collectively we have played jazz, blues, bluegrass, folk, garage rock, punk, swing, classic country, power pop (etal.), all of which get stirred into our musical melting pot...the Americana way

Jean Mason

Lead Vocals

The heart and soul of Calamity Jean, she has been singing around the Twin Cities since the early 2000's

John Mason

Guitar, Violin

Frankie John French

A guitar legend, Frankie taught himself how to play blues harp when he was 12 using Tony Glover's book. Former bands include Splat, The Strappin' Daddy-Os, Dog 994 and the Hot Heads

Eric "Buc" Nelson

That sparkle you hear is probably Buc on the mando! Formerly of Three Car Garage and the Hot Heads
